Ioana Knoll-Tudor advises and represents French and international clients in the field of international arbitration. During the past ten years, Ioana developped an expertise in the Central and South-Eastern Europe jurisdictions. Her expertise in international arbitration is completed by her transactional practice in the context of complex cross-border transactions.

Her PhD, « The Fair and Equitable Treatment Standard in International Foreign Investment Law » published by Oxford University Press, is a reference in the field.

Before joining Jeantet, Ioana worked for 9 years in the Warsaw and Budapest offices of Gide. Ioana first joined Jeantet in 2015, as the local partner of the Budapest office, then, in September 2017, she joined the Paris office in order to strengthen the international arbitration practice of the firm.

Recent “gun jumping” rulings across Europe have included fines on investors and serve as reminders that exchange of information between two competitors during an M&A negotiation has to be treated with caution.In fact, if the focus in an M&A deal is usually on merger control clearances, the path towards the completion of the operation has also to be monitored very closely, in the sense that the companies involved should remain independent competitors until the deal is effectively closed...
