Paralegal

Isabelle Normand has been a paralegal since 1987 and is a member of the Corporate services team. She works in various areas of business law.

Ms. Normand assists the firm?s corporate lawyers and helps prepare legal documents required for various business operations and transactions. She is also involved in the incorporation and organization of corporations, continuances, amalgamations, dissolutions as well as registrations of corporations both in Québec and other jurisdictions, in addition to changes to their status. She also reviews corporate status and updates minute books and corporate records.

Ms. Normand does trademark availability research and prepares and files trademark registration applications for Canadian and foreign firms and applications for industrial design rights and copyrights. She supervises the registration process, prepares the required declarations and communicates with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. Ms. Normand also looks after maintaining and renewing trademark and industrial design protection.

Ms. Normand  assists public corporations on issues related to securities and regulatory filings. She is also responsible for regulatory filings using SEDAR, SEDI, TSX SecureFile and NRD.
