Profile

Jasmin is a senior associate in Carey Olsen's dispute resolution and insolvency and trusts and private wealth teams in the Cayman Islands. She advises on all aspects of commercial and financial services litigation, shareholder disputes, fraud and asset tracing, liquidations and cross-border restructuring procedures including schemes of arrangement. Jasmin's recent experience includes acting in the successful restructuring of Luckin Coffee, Inc., Abraaj and China Shanshui Cement Group Limited.  

She is a member of INSOL International, IWIRC, STEP and the Chancery Bar Association. Jasmin has been recognised by eprivateclient's Top 35 Under 35, Citywealth's IFC Next Gen 40 Under 40 and was a finalist for STEP's Young Practitioner of the Year award. She has been invited to speak at seminars and conferences in the UK and internationally and has had articles featured in INSOL World and the Trusts & Trustees journal amongst other publications.

Professional Career

Significant Accomplishments

Jasmin obtained an LLB with First Class Honours from Griffith University and completed additional legal studies at Oxford University (New College), the College of Law and Caen University. She is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland, the High Court of Australia and the Senior Courts of England and Wales. She was admitted as an attorney-at-law in the Cayman Islands in 2020. 

Before joining Carey Olsen, Jasmin spent five years at a leading international offshore law firm in the Channel Islands where she specialised in commercial and trust litigation and was called as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey. Prior to that Jasmin practised as a solicitor in Australia.
