Profile

Katie pursued a career in the law because she is dedicated to helping others. As a member of Verrill's litigation team, Katie represents businesses and individuals in a wide variety of civil matters, including medical malpractice, complex commercial litigation, and catastrophic personal injury. Katie assists Verrill's skilled team of senior litigators with trial preparation, comprehensive legal research and writing, and is involved in all steps of case management.

Prior to joining Verrill, Katie worked at a private practice litigation firm, where she participated in the representation of individuals in personal injury, medical malpractice, and employment litigation. During law school, Katie represented numerous victims of domestic violence pro bono and successfully defended a New Hampshire Supreme Court appeal. Katie has a passion for oral advocacy, and competed on the UNH National Trial Team. She is a graduate of the Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program.

Before attending law school, Katie lived in Colorado, where she taught adaptive snowboarding and skiing to adults and children with mental or physical disabilities. Katie is an avid traveler and traveled solo around the world after college. When she is not in the office, Katie can be found outside, hiking, paddle boarding, biking, golfing, or snowboarding. Katie grew up in Wells, Maine, and now resides in Windham, Maine, on beautiful Highland Lake.
