Profile

Kathryn Moore represents healthcare clients in a variety of transactional, regulatory, and operational matters. She routinely represents national hospital and surgery center companies but has experience serving a range of healthcare industry sectors, such as behavioral health agencies, home health agencies, physician practices, and cardiac catheterization and office-based laboratories.

A substantial portion of her practice involves assisting with mergers and acquisitions, particularly in connection with complex regulatory, diligence, and licensure matters. Apart from her transactional work, Kathryn has significant expertise helping clients navigate various state and federal regulatory requirements, including with respect to facility licensure, certificate of need matters, and Medicare and Medicaid certification. She also regularly counsels clients with respect to healthcare fraud and abuse issues, including with respect to federal and state anti-kickback and self-referral laws, as well as the corporate practice of medicine doctrine and fee-splitting laws.

Kathryn graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the Wake Forest Law Review. She earned a B.A. (summa cum laude) in English from the University of Mississippi, where she was awarded the Taylor Medal, which is the university’s highest academic award.
