Profile

Lee-Ann Brown’s practice is focused on construction, government contracts, and insurance coverage matters.

In her construction and government contracts practice, Lee-Ann represents clients in both the prosecution and defense of claims on public and private projects. She regularly counsels clients in cases involving federal and state Miller Act and Prompt Payment Act claims, claims for delay and extended general conditions, and other complex contractual disputes. She has significant experience litigating claims surrounding the construction and improvement of highways/infrastructure and large-scale federal buildings, including new embassy compounds and other secured federal buildings.

In her insurance practice, Lee-Ann represents corporate policyholders in disputed claims and coverage litigation matters. Her practice includes claims for business interruption, contingent business interruption, first-party catastrophe, property damage, and bad faith/extra-contractual insurance disputes with insurance carriers.

Lee-Ann grew up working in the field and shop with her father, who owned a metal fabrication and construction firm. This experience has given her a unique perspective and understanding of project management. It has facilitated her ability to find creative, practical solutions to resolve claims and disputes in all areas of her practice.
