Profile

Luis Felipe Merino is the partner in charge of the Santiago de Chile office.

He specializes in corporate law and in mergers and acquisitions, providing recurring advice on cross-border deals to foreign clients investing in Chile and to local clients investing abroad. He also has broad expertise in advising energy companies on the development of electricity generation projects, using both conventional and renewable energy sources.

His work has been recognized by specialist publications such as Chambers & Partners since 2011.

He was a founding partner of Avendaño Merino Abogados from its creation in 2003 until its integration with Garrigues in 2016. He previously worked as a foreign associate at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering in Washington D.C. in 1998 and 1999.

Luis Felipe is a member of the Chile Bar Association and the International Bar Association (IBA).
