Luis joined Hoet Pelaez Castillo & Duque in 1994. He is the head of the Life Sciences and Healthcare practice area, and he also plays a fundamental role in other practice areas, such as Contracts, Mergers and Acquisitions; International Trade, Investments, Banking, Finance, Competition, Foreign Exchange Control; Energy, Natural Resources, Utilities and Environmental Law; Real Estate; and Tax. Luis has significant experience in corporate matters, including complex mergers and development of legal audits for acquisition of corporations in Venezuela. He has advised numerous companies in the development of mining activities in important projects. Luis actively advises national and foreign companies in tax matters related to their activities. He has specialized in counseling corporations of the pharmaceutical sector. Before joining the Firm, Luis was an attorney in the Department of Investment Fund Privatization and in Badell, Grau & Associates.
