Profile
Maria Fernanda joined Brigard Urrutia in 1996 as member of the telecommunications, mergers and acquisitions and corporate teams, managing also some topics related to intellectual property. In 2005, she became part of the Brigard Castro team, structuring the litigation and strategic advisory practice.

As Brigard Castro's Partner and member of the Litigation and Strategic Advice Team, she advises domestic and foreign companies in the enforcement of their IP assets, initiates and supervises infringement and unfair competition actions on their behalf, and conducts complex negotiations. She also practices in the areas of due diligence and Intellectual Property Audits. Also, Mrs. Castellanos has re-structured the regulatory and patent practice of the firm, to build a whole service Life Sciences practice.

She is an attorney from Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario. She holds a Magister on Laws with emphasis on Intellectual Property and Competition Law from New York University. She did a course in High Management in Negotiation from Universidad de Los Andes and holds a Diploma on Copyrights and Related Rights from EAFIT University.
