Profile
Maria Jennifer Z. Barreto is a partner of SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan. She provides legal advice and services in connection with the legal due diligence, structuring, negotiation, documentation, closing and administration of corporate mergers and acquisitions, and/or debt and equity financing transactions of Philippine companies in, among others, the mining, energy, banking, manufacturing and business process outsourcing sectors. She also provides legal advice to domestic and international clients on matters concerning Philippine commercial law, banking and securities law, and immigration law.

She was admitted to practice in the Philippines in 2006.
Education
Ms. Barreto received her Bachelor of Science in Management, major in Legal Management (2000, magna cum laude, departmental awardee) from Ateneo de Manila University. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (2005) from the University of the Philippines.
