Marievic G. Ramos-Anonuevo is a senior partner in SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan. She graduated from the University of the Philippines, College of Law and was admitted to the Philippine bar in 1983. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics from the same university.

Ms. Anonuevo has been in law practice for 28 years and has acquired substantial experience advising major local and foreign clients in the fields of banking, project finance, privatization, infrastructure, foreign investments, mergers and acquisitions, corporate rehabilitation and restructuring, securities and land acquisition and development.

She worked on the financing of the Manila North Tollway Project involving the rehabilitation and expansion of the North Luzon Expressway, where she represented a syndicate of lending institutions that included multilateral and export credit agencies and commercial banks. She also worked on the equity financing for the acquisition by National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) of the concession to operate and rehabilitate the national transmission grid and sub-transmission assets of the National Transmission Corporation (Transco). This is said to be the single biggest and most significant privatization ever to be conducted by the Republic of the Philippines. This project helped earn for her firm the citation by the International Financial Law Review as Philippine Law Firm of the Year for the eighth consecutive time over a nine-year period.

Ms. Anonuevo is also involved in various infrastructure and horizontal and vertical property development projects. Her experience in this area consists of industrial estate and commercial, residential and mixed-use developments. Among her notable real estate development projects are the (i) Pueblo de Pro Township project which involved the development of over 600 hectares of prime property in Cagayan de Oro into a township complete with commercial, institutional and residential areas and an all-weather golf course, (ii) Light Industry and Science Park projects in Laguna and Batangas which involved the development of industrial parks, (iii) Arya Residences, a prime condominium property located in Fort Bonifacio; and (iv) Manila Exposition Complex which houses the Word Trade Center in Metro Manila.
