Profile

As a counsel in the firm's fast-growing Tech Group, Kristi counsels entrepreneurs, investors, and corporations on what is often their greatest asset: intellectual property. She works with clients to help them develop and protect their intellectual property portfolios, as well as leverage those intangible assets in their corporate strategies. She guides companies through the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, advises them on intellectual property due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, and assists in developing licensing, joint development, and nondisclosure agreements.

Kristi has prosecuted numerous patent applications–in both the U.S. and internationally–in a wide array of complex technologies, including:

  • Chemical: slurries, chemical metrology, polymer compositions for cosmetics, biochemical mass labels
  • Industrial equipment: semiconductor processing tools, distribution equipment, ultrahigh vacuum pumps
  • Medical: diagnostic methods, dental compositions, medical devices
  • Biotechnology and pharmaceutical: therapeutic peptides and other organic compounds for treating disease
  • Jewelry designs
  • Software
