Profile

Matthew is an Associate in our Corporate practice group. Prior to joining Hanson Bridgett, Matthew worked as a summer associate and senior law clerk, in the Corporate and Securities practice group, for an international law firm in their San Francisco office. Matthew has experience with general corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, venture capital financings, and private equity fund formation.

Before practicing law, Matthew spent ten years working for Pacific Gas and Electric Company in a variety of business and regulatory roles.

While working for PG&E, Matthew earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the USF Law Review and Vice President of the Business Law Association. He also earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for the highest grade in Legal Ethics. Matthew has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Management concentration from San Jose State University.

Matthew is a member of the American Constitution Society, Commonwealth Club of California, Bar Association of San Francisco, and Alameda County Bar Association. He has also served as a delegate to the Conference of California Bar Associations.
