Melanie Harrison is an Executive in ENSafrica’s Tax department. She specialises in corporate tax, in particular, in the mining, energy and infrastructure industries. Melanie’s expertise includes advising on M&A transaction tax, including tax structuring and due diligence, as well as in the structuring and implementation of broad-based black economic empowerment transactions.

She has extensive experience in advising clients on mineral royalty tax and the proposed South African carbon tax, as well as in the tax aspects relating to funding project finance and infrastructure transactions.

She also assists clients on their interactions with the South African Revenue Service, including refunds, voluntary disclosure programme and advance tax rulings applications, as well as royalty and income tax audits and dispute resolution matters.
