Michael P. Fannon is an associate in Dykema's Corporate Finance Practice Group. Mr. Fannon primarily focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, financing transactions, and general corporate counseling. His experience includes representing public and private companies in complex middle market deals including cross border transactions, joint ventures, commercial loan financings, private placements of securities, and counseling clients on regulatory and governance matters (for profit and nonprofit entities). He also maintains a strong commitment to pro bono practice.

Mr. Fannon graduated with honors from Michigan State University College of Law and received his B.S. from Wayne State University. In law school, Michael qualified for the Moot Court National Championships. He also served as a Student Attorney with the MSU Civil Rights Clinic where he authored multiple winning appellate briefs before both the Michigan Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Mr. Fannon was a Teaching Assistant to Professor Bruce W. Bean for Business Enterprises, and the recipient of the 2016 Ralph M. Freeman Award from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He also served as a Student Attorney at the University of Michigan Law School’s Innocence Clinic. Before law school, Michael was a Development Associate at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.
