Profile
Nicole advises her clients - which include government departments, other government bodies, universities, and private sector clients - on a range of intellectual property, regulatory, information technology and general commercial matters. She has a particular focus on the education, biotechnology, research and development, and government areas.

Nicole is experienced in preparing, negotiating and advising on a range of agreements, including research funding and collaboration agreements, intellectual property assignment and licensing agreements, sponsorship and distribution agreements, and agreements for the provision or acquisition of goods or services. This includes both complex arrangements with high value and/or high importance to the client, and template agreements for ongoing use. She also understands the regulatory and policy considerations that can impact on such arrangements, particularly in the public sector and highly regulated industries.

Nicole also advises on a range of intellectual property and related issues that arise in the course of her clients' activities, including copyright and moral rights issues, trade mark infringement and passing off, confidentiality issues, licensing and assignment of intellectual property rights, the use of social media, the development of website terms, the conduct of due diligence in the context of acquisitions, sales and other transactions, corporate structuring issues, and the interpretation of contractual documentation.
