Profile

Rich McClain is the chief information officer at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, leading the firm’s IT group, which includes both on-premise as well as cloud-based solutions and staff in 20 locations throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.  Rich is a member of the firm’s Emerging Technologies, Risk Management, and Policy Administration Committees.

Prior to joining the firm, Rich founded the McClain Group, Inc., which competed directly with the “Big-4” firms, providing IT strategic planning, project management, and operational advisory services to complex organizations such as the Virginia Supreme Court,  State Corporation Commission, UVA Health System, Anthem BC/BS, 3M Corporation, Markel Corp, and others.  MGI was on the Inc. 500 list of Fastest Growing Companies in the United States for two years, and was acquired by The Registry, Inc. (a NASDAQ firm).  Prior to founding MGI, Rich was a lead partner in KPMG’s management consulting group. 

Rich is currently a member of the Department of Homeland Security’s New York/New Jersey Electronic Cyber Crimes Task Force and a founding member of the Legal Services Information Sharing and Analysis Organization (LS-ISAO).
