Profile

Riley McDaniel concentrates his practice on high-stakes and appellate litigation throughout the federal and state court systems. He has experience at all stages of litigation, including motion practice, crafting litigation strategy, handling written and document discovery, and handling appeals.

Riley has litigated a broad range of commercial, pharmaceutical, product-liability, and healthcare matters. For example, he recently was part of a trial team that obtained a defense verdict on breach of contract and specific performance claims in a bench trial involving the $111 million sale of a partially completed nuclear power plant.

Riley also regularly assists clients with legal strategy, motion practice, and appeals. He has assisted with appeals at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and in appellate courts in Alabama and Wisconsin. He also has assisted as an “appellate lawyer at trial,” with responsibility for briefing dispositive motions, Daubert motions, motions in limine, and post-judgment motions, and for handling various evidentiary and legal issues arising over the course of trial.

Riley maintains an active pro bono practice. He has successfully handled an immigration appeal before the Eleventh Circuit, resulting in a stay of removal and the grant of the petition for review.

Before joining Bradley, Riley received his J.D. (with honors) from Emory University School of Law, where he was a managing editor of the Emory Law Journal. He also was an extern for the Hon. Richard W. Story of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Riley graduated from Auburn University with a B.A. in Political Science (magna cum laude).
