Profile

Rinat brings nearly a decade of professional experience in software development and infrastructure engineering to her intellectual property law practice. She prepares, files, and prosecutes original patent applications in various jurisdictions for U.S. and international clients. Rinat offers honed experience in computer hardware and software, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, cloud computing, virtualization, memory management, data structures, networking, and mechanical and medical devices.

Her clients range from startups to large corporations. Rinat’s hands-on industry experience and undergraduate degree in electrical and computer engineering help her to better assist clients in navigating and owning creativity and innovation in a broad range of domains. Her skill as an engineer spans different industries, including technology (Microsoft), finance (Merrill Lynch), and nonprofits (Educational Testing Service).

During law school, Rinat served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Michael A. Shipp of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. A recipient of the Mark T. Banner scholarship awarded by the Hon. Richard Linn of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Rinat remains committed to fostering diversity and inclusion efforts through various initiatives at Lowenstein and in the legal community.

She is fluent in Bengali, conversational in Hindi and Urdu, and literate in Arabic.
