Bob Safron is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and is included in Law Business Research’s International Who’s Who of Real Estate Lawyers. He has more than 40 years of experience in a broad range of commercial real estate matters and has represented developers, owners, investors and lenders throughout the U.S. and in several foreign countries. He represents prominent U.S. and international developers, owners and investors in all types of real estate holdings, including office and apartment buildings, shopping centers, hotels, resorts, industrial, warehouse and other commercial projects. Mr. Safron has also represented many domestic and foreign banks, insurance companies, investment houses and other institutions in a variety of real estate financing and securitization matters and in restructuring troubled real estate loans.

Representative Matters

Represented several large real estate companies in the acquisition, development, leasing and/or financing of numerous major New York City office buildings, including One World Trade Center, One Bryant Park (the Bank of America headquarters in N.Y.C.), 4 Times Square (the Conde Nast building), 620 Eighth Avenue (The New York Times building), 114 West 47th Street (the U.S. Trust Company Building), 622 Third Avenue, 875 Third Avenue, Swiss Bank Tower, 60 Broad Street, 20 Exchange Place, 505 Park Avenue and The Galleria at 115 East 57th Street (as a mixed use retail/office/condominium/coop building).

Represented or assisted many major law firms in their leasing of office space in New York City.

Represented a foreign institutional company in the acquisition and/or development, and ultimately the disposition, of a $1.1 billion portfolio of U.S. real estate holdings.

Represented a variety of owner/investor clients in the acquisition, development, financing and/or disposition of numerous hotels (including The Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, Florida, the Ambassador West Hotel in Chicago, and the Stanhope and Hyde Park Hotels in New York City), shopping centers, condominium and coop projects throughout the U.S.

Represented a major Dutch pension fund in connection with the financing of a U.S. portfolio of nearly $1 billion of real estate investments, including projects with major developers in Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Washington D.C. and Florida.

Represented a foreign bank in connection with the restructuring and/or disposition of several properties in New York City and the Eastern U.S.

Represented well-known hotel chain in connection with the disposition, purchase and/or leasing of its hotel portfolio in New York City.

Represented numerous foreign banks in their sale and leasing of office buildings in New York City.

Represented well-known international retailer in its leasing of retail sites throughout the U.S.

Represented several multi-national organizations in connection with the acquisition, divestiture and/or leasing of corporate real estate assets.
