Ruby focuses her practice on asset securitization, structured finance, and other corporate finance transactions.
Ruby advises a broad range of clients, including issuers, underwriters, mortgage servicers, and lenders in structured finance transactions. She has experience with residential mortgage-backed securities, mortgage servicing rights, credit risk transfers, and other asset-backed securitization transactions. She is part of the firm’s LIBOR Transition Team, assisting clients in the transition from LIBOR to SOFR.
Ruby is passionate about pro bono work and dedicates time to advocacy for women’s rights and wrongful convictions. She is also a member of the ABA Free Legal Answers platform.
Relevant Experience
- Served as issuer’s and initial purchaser’s counsel to J.P. Morgan Mortgage Acquisition Corp. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC (together, “J.P. Morgan”) in connection with the development and execution of a securitization program involving the issuance of $186.4 million in securities backed by a fixed pool of participation interests in home equity lines of credit (HELOCs) originated by third parties.
- Counsels one of the largest RMBS market participants in monthly securitization program.
- Represents initial purchasers in agency credit risk transfer transactions.
- Assists investment bank in recurring underwritings and revolving investments in agency mortgage servicing rights.
- Advises lenders in implementing LIBOR to SOFR transitions.
