Significant Accomplishments
  • Representing clients in labor and employment litigation matters involving the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Labor Management Relations Act, the West Virginia Human Rights Act, the West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Act, the West Virginia Patient Safety Act, and other federal and state employment laws
  • Representing employers in class action wage and hour litigation
  • Representing clients in matters pending before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, including the West Virginia Human Rights Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and in arbitration
  • Providing strategic advice and counseling to employers dealing with employment issues, including EEO policies and practices
  • Drafting and reviewing employment policies and procedures
  • Representing corporations in contract disputes
