Profile

Sarah advises across all areas of employment law and HR issues, including in respect of disciplinary and grievance issues, unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, redundancy exercises and discrimination. She works closely with corporate colleagues to advise clients on all aspects of TUPE, including indemnity protections, consultation requirements and harmonisation exercises. She also has experience advising clients on contentious situations and has been involved in defending several tribunal claims. Sarah regularly deals with ad hoc queries from our clients' HR departments and in-house legal teams and provides pragmatic, solutions-focused advice. Sarah has designed and delivered a number of client training sessions, including on gender pay gap reporting, discrimination, and disciplinary/ grievance procedures. With inhouse secondment experience to an asset management firm, assisting them with implementation of new requirements under GDPR and SMCR, Sarah has specialist knowledge of these regimes, especially focusing on the people consequences. Admitted in Scotland.
