Sarin Tavlian is a Senior Counsel in the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in Los Angeles. Ms. Tavlian focuses her practice on general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions (representing both sellers and buyers), joint venture transactions, equity financings, recapitalizations, restructurings, and corporate structuring, formation and maintenance.  Ms. Tavlian routinely serves as outside general counsel and a trusted advisor for corporate clients through every aspect of growth, providing day-to-day counseling on a broad range of transactional and governance issues, including formation, financing, intellectual property, and employment matters.

She represents clients, that range in size from small start-ups to public companies, in a variety of industries and business sectors, including apparel, fitness, beauty, food and beverage, technology, banking, education, health care, automobile, fuel and manufacturing.

Prior to joining Buchalter, Ms. Tavlian was an attorney at White & Case LLP, where she specialized in transactional work on corporate matters including domestic and cross-border finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, entertainment transactions, banking transactions and general corporate matters.

  • Lamps Plus, Inc., an omnichannel retailer of lighting, ceiling fans and other home furnishing products, in its strategic investment by Nexus Capital Management LP
  • 360 Sweater LLC, a ready-to-wear women’s apparel business, in its sale to an equity fund
  • Raw Sugar in its sale to WM Partners
  • Araca in the sale of its Music Merchandising Division to Sony Music Entertainment
  • LePort Educational Institute Inc. in its sale of Montessori elementary schools throughout the country to various buyers
  • Pegasus Foods in its investment by New Water Capital
  • ADI Strategies in the sale of its assets in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Pune, India to Huron Consulting. This acquisition represents the second completed transaction between Huron and ADI
  • Mydyer / Providence Industries in its recapitalization with East West Bank and equity investment from Alaris Royalty Corporation
  • Macland Investments in the sale of 50 gas stations to United Oil
  • HUF Worldwid in its investment by Altamont Capital
