Sherri Hayat is an Associate in the Corporate Commercial department at ENSafrica. She specialises in corporate law and M&A.

She has assisted in acting for local and international clients in various industries including global oil and gas majors, international renewable energy clients, and clients in the financial services, real estate and fast-moving consumer goods sectors.

Sherri’s experience includes advising clients on both cross-border and local transactions, assisting with contract negotiation, M&A, conducting due diligence investigations and corporate restructuring. In addition, she has also advised on a variety of matters in relation to the Companies Act, 2008, and has drafted various commercial agreements.

Sherri is also experienced in competition law, having drafted several unconditionally approved merger notifications to the Competition Commission on behalf of ultimate acquiring firms listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

She is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
