Siphamandla Dube is a Senior Associate in ENSafrica’s Employment department. He specialises in collective and individual labour disputes, as well as the implementation of employment equity and labour policies.
He has acted for clients in a variety of industries including mining, construction and energy, aviation, chemicals, the public sector, fast moving consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals.
Siphamandla’s experience includes representing clients in disputes before the Commission for Concilation, Mediation and Arbitration, various Bargaining Councils and the Labour Courts. He has assisted clients with collective bargaining and strike management, retrenchments under sections 189 and 189A of the Labour Relations Act, 1995 (the "LRA") and the consequences of business transfers in terms of section 197 of the LRA. He is also experienced in assisting clients on managing trade union marches or gatherings in terms of the Regulation of Gatherings Act, 1993 and protest action in terms of section 77 of the LRA.
His experience further extends to preparing and advising clients on the implementation of employment related policies and procedures, chairing of disciplinary hearings as well as in conducting investigations and preparing reports on behalf of clients.
