Profile

Steve Wilson provides legal counsel to clients on acquisitions, joint ventures, tax, economic development and finance transactions. Steve has more than 25 years of experience handling corporate transactional and state and local tax matters, including over 100 separate business acquisitions, over 30 separate joint ventures and strategic alliances, state and local tax planning and controversy resolution, industrial development and economic incentives and finance transactions. He is a corporate transactional lawyer in the firm’s Jackson office.

He represents buyers and sellers in asset purchase, stock purchase, and merger transactions; entities pursuing joint venture investments and strategic alliances with partners; companies with ongoing contractual, tax, and business planning needs; companies with state and local tax issues; companies seeking tax incentives financings, real estate, and environmental counsel on legal issues arising as a result of location or expansion of operations in Mississippi; owners, contractors, and lenders on construction matters and joint ventures related thereto; borrowers and lenders in commercial lending transactions; and handling Section 363 sales of asset transactions arising out of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy cases.
