Teva Sempel is a member of the Litigation and White Collar & Investigations Practice Groups in the Firm’s Seattle office. He focuses his practice on complex business disputes, including real estate development, commercial lease, and construction litigation. In addition to contract disputes, Teva has litigated cases involving business tort claims, including unfair trade practices, Civil RICO, fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty. He has represented commercial property owners in unlawful detainer actions, shareholders in judicial dissolution actions, and businesses and individuals in receivership proceedings. He has advised contractors, subcontractors, and owners in all aspects of construction law, including disputes related to payment, construction liens, change orders, public bidding, delays, and construction defect and design defect claims.

Teva also has extensive white-collar litigation and government investigations experience. He has handled matters involving allegations of public corruption, mail fraud, health care fraud, environmental crimes, money laundering, structuring, and narcotics trafficking. Teva has also represented companies and individuals in connection with state and federal government investigations, including Grand Jury proceedings.

Prior to his legal career, Mr. Sempel served as a judicial intern with the Louisiana Supreme Court to the Honorable Justice Knoll.
