Profile

Veronica is an experienced Special Counsel in our Media and Communications Group. She has a unique breadth and depth of expertise in media, content, privacy and sports related law, gained from practising in Australia and before that in London and from advising a broad range of high profile individuals, corporate, government and not for profit clients on commerical, litigious and regulatory matters.

Veronica advises clients on legal, regulatory and reputational risks arising from all mediums (digital and print) covering defamation, broadcasting, social media, data protection laws, privacy and cyber risks, advertising and marketing, competitions and promotions, compliance with surveillance devices and broadcasting laws, sports and membership administration, sponsorships and publishing agreements.  

From her work and expertise in advising the media on the legal issues they face, Veronica can advise our government and corporate clients on handling media related legal issues which impact on their reputation and on risk management and brand protection.

Before practising in Australia, Veronica worked for five years in the highly regarded London law firms Crockers Oswald Hickson and Mishcon de Reya where she gained a unique breadth and depth of experience advising on general commercial, communication and high profile media litigation disputes, including defamation, contempt, privacy, commercialisation of name and image, arbitrations (eg. over art works) and contractual disputes.
