Teaching Experience
Internally, he is in charge of the Nonresident Taxation course offered to the Firm’s new lawyers. He is a frequent speaker at conferences on international tax matters, both in Spain and abroad, and on third sector taxation.
Co-author of “International Tax Manual” (*) of the Instituto de Estudios Fiscales, 2nd edition (2004) and 3rd edition (2006).
Coordinator and co-author of the annual Garrigues publication “A Guide to Business in Spain” published by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade.
Author of numerous articles published in Spanish and foreign newspapers and reviews (International Tax Review, European Taxation, The Journal of International Taxation, Moneda Única, Empresa Exterior, the CEHAT review, la Gaceta, etc.) dedicated to tax law and international trade.
Regular lecturer at tax seminars organized by various entities and institutions, recently: seminar on “Tax Treatment and Financing of Investments in Latin America” (*) organized by Unidad Editorial, lecturing on “Main Practical Tax Issues of Investing in Mexico”(*), October 2008; 8th Annual Fundraising Congress, workshop on “Taxation and Fundraising by Non-Profit Entities” (*), organized by the Spanish Fundraising Association, Barcelona, September 2008; round table participant in the course "Country Trademark as a Key Element for Corporate Internationalization" (*), as part of the El Escorial Summer Courses, July 2008; course on “Morocco Tax & Law 2008”, organized by the IIR, teaching the section on Spanish tax treatment of investments in Morocco, April 2008; seminar on “Management of Tax and Legal Risks in International Investments” (*), organized by the consulting company Kroll, el Club de Exportadores e Inversores Españoles and Garrigues, February 2008.
