Profile

Vidir Smari Petersen began working at LEX alongside his studies in September 2009. He finished his master's degree from the University of Iceland in 2011, was admitted to practice before the district courts in May that year and before the Supreme Court in 2017. In 2015, Vidir finished an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School, where he focused on subjects in the field of Law and Economics and Competition Law. At Harvard, his paper on Interlocking Directorates was awarded the Law School's Manzini Prize for best paper in European Law and European Legal Thought. Vidir has been a Lecturer of Law on the Law Faculty of the University of Iceland since 2011 and in 2017 he was appointed as Adjunct Lecturer. The subjects that Vidir has taught include Civil Procedure, Law of Obligations and Administrative Law. Vidir has published articles in peer-review journals on various subjects.
