Zachary Novetsky is Counsel in the firm's Real Estate department and was named in 2021, 2022, and 2023 as “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers in America®. He focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial leasing, representing both landlords and tenants in office and retail leases (including a hospital system in establishing a leasehold condominium containing over 100,000 square feet, a landlord in the leasing of almost 250,000 square feet to a major technology company, one of the largest charitable foundations in connection with a complex lease extension of its Washington, D.C. lease, and an educational technology company in its New York and San Francisco headquarters leases).  Mr. Novetsky also has extensive experience with purchase and sale agreements, sublease transactions, management agreements, brokerage agreements, surrender agreements, telecommunications agreements, construction agreements, access and license agreements, and other transactional real estate matters.

He is particularly skilled in the area of retail leasing, representing restaurant owners, street retail owners, and mixed-use retail owners. Significant retail projects include the leasing of the food halls of a 6,000,000 square foot development in Sunset Park, Brooklyn and a 650,000 square foot building in Long Island City, as well as representing a New York City hospital in the creation of an 18,000 square foot state-of-the-art health center at Hudson Yards.
