Kudun and Partners is pleased to announce the promotion of Peerasanti Somritutai, a senior associate, to the firm’s partnership, with effect from February 1, 2022. His promotion will strengthen our highly regarded Corporate and M&A Practice and further expand our expertise in real estate. He is our youngest partner to date, at only 34 years old, and is recognized as a rising star for corporate and M&A by Asialaw, 2022. With the new promotion, Kudun and Partners now has 8 corporate partners, making a total of 13 partners with over 45 associates in the firm.

About Peerasanti Somritutai (Nov)

Peerasanti mainly focuses his practice on corporate, mergers and acquisitions including acquisition and disposal of equity interest in listed companies, non-recourse and limited-recourse project financing, real estate financing and development, as well as energy and infrastructure projects. He has represented domestic and award-winning cross-border transactions for both local and international clients across multiple industries, including financial institutions, real estate, hotels and resorts, consumer goods and services, transportation and logistics, and industrial and manufacturing.

Peerasanti is the recurring co-author of The Legal 500’s Thailand’s Real Estate Comparative Guide and has written several articles including “Key Takeaways from the Court Verdict on Ashton Asoke and Key Considerations for Both Real Estate Developers and Customers” and “Removal of Three Restricted Businesses under Thailand’s Foreign Business Act.”

He is also active in various pro-bono and CSR activities of the firm where he led a team of lawyers on a pro bono project to assist a social enterprise in collaboration with TrustLaw, Thomson Reuters Foundation’s global pro bono legal program and participated in the firm’s various donation drive to assist the unfortunate community impacted by COVID19.

In the early stage of his career, Peerasanti worked with a few respected regional and local law firms in Bangkok, before joining DLA Piper and Hunton Andrews Kurth, following which he finally settled down in Kudun and Partners in 2019. He graduated from Thammasat University with an LL.B., and further obtained his LL.M. in Corporate and Securities Laws at the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science in the United Kingdom. He is a certified attorney-at-law and an extraordinary member of the Thai Bar Association.
