The UK Green Building Council has announced a new industry wide consultation to explore what kind of Code for Sustainable Buildings the industry needs to help it achieve the zero carbon target of 2019 and other sustainability challenges.   A task group will assess what core sustainability standards should be contained within a Code for Sustainable Buildings, how that Code should be developed and implemented and how to ensure alignment with international rating tools.  The consultation will run until February 2009.
