Serbian Ministry Of Finance Publishes Top 15 Exporters List

As we are slowly nearing the mid-point of 2016, it is a good time to look back on the export values of companies in Serbia during the previous year, as it is made possible by a set of Serbian Ministry of Finance's recently published data in this regard. According to the Ministry, the total value of the top 15 exporters in the first seven months of 2015 had totalled at approximately EUR 2.2 billion, asFiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) led the way with an export value of EUR 814 million. This number seems to be on par with FCA's yearly total in 2014 when the value amounted to EUR 1.36 billion.Next on the Top 15 Exporters List, we had theSmederevo Steel Millwhose 2015 January-July total export amounted to approximately EUR 263 million. The mill has thus seen an increase in its exports, as its prioryearlytotal from 2014 topped out at close to EUR 201 million.

Tigar Tyreswas the third company on the list, with a 7 month total export value of EUR 168.4 million, followed by the state incumbent gas company's (NIS) total of EUR 162,7 million,Tetra Pakpackaging company's EUR 107.8 million, and in sixth place, the appliance manufacturerGorenjewith an total export value of EUR 99.6 million.

The rest of the places on the Top 15 list have been taken up petrochemical producerPetrohemija Pančevowith EUR 99.3 million, pharmaceutical companyHemofarm Vršacwith EUR 91.5 million, and tobacco giants –Philip Morris International– in the ninth place with a EUR 84.4 million value of exports.

Air Serbia, the national airline, returned to the list at number 10 with a total export value of EUR 78.2 million, only to be followed by the South Korean owned electric components supplierYura Corporationwith EUR 73.1 million.
