Dinsmore’s Andrew M. Gammill Selected for Leadership Columbus

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is pleased to announce associate Andrew M. Gammill has been named to the 2020 Leadership Columbus class. The 10-month program brings together a group of professionals from across Columbus to develop leadership skills and ideas to benefit the community as a whole.

At Dinsmore, Gammill concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial finance and real estate law. He represents lenders and borrowers to efficiently close commercial real estate loan transactions and real estate deals across the country, including matters involving health care facilities, apartment complexes, office buildings, industrial facilities, shopping centers, hotels, and other commercial properties

With experience in all aspects of the loan process, Gammill counsels clients throughout complex transactions involving New Markets Tax Credits, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, and Historic Tax Credits, as well as bond-financed loans.

Prior to joining the firm, Gammill worked as a newspaper reporter. His coverage of education and government news for the Indianapolis Star and the Journal Gazette (Fort Wayne, Indiana) earned him more than a dozen local and national awards, including being named the third-best education reporter in the country by the Education Writers Association in 2009.

Gammill earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and his law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. In 2018, he received national recognition from the National LGBT Bar Association, named among its “Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40.”
