Beccar Varela names new partners in litigation and white-collar & corporate crime practices.

Buenos Aires, March 31st, 2020. On March 26th, Beccar Varela promoted Federico Sosa and Francisco Zavalía to partner, in recognition of their talent and of the great contribution they have made to the firm in the areas of litigation and white collar & corporate crime respectively.

Federico Sosa joined the firm in 2002. He focuses on litigation, particularly class actions, insolvency and bankruptcy. He also has broad experience in corporate legal advice related to distribution and sales representation contracts. Federico gained his law degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires in 2003 and obtained his master’s degree in corporate law from Universidad Austral in 2008.

Francisco Zavalía joined Beccar Varela in 2012. Previously, he worked at Vergara & Asociados (2003-2012) and at the First Instance Criminal Federal Court, Number 9/17 (2001-2003). He focuses on white-collar & corporate crime and compliance, covering all crimes of the Penal Code and those provided for in special laws. Francisco obtained his law degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires in 2008. He completed the program “Internet and Communications Technology Law” at Universidad de San Andrés in 2016 and obtained his master’s degree in criminal law from Universidad Austral in 2019.

Horacio E. Beccar Varela, the firm’s managing partner, affirms that the current health crisis unleashed by the coronavirus, as well as the economic recession worldwide, will give birth to a paradigm shift both in human relations and in the ways of working.
