Dinsmore Names Govinda M. Davis as Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Pathfinder

April, 2020 - United States of America

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP has named associate Govinda M. Davis a member of the 2020 class of Pathfinders. The program, designed by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), trains high-performing and early-career attorneys in critical career development strategies, including leadership and professional network building.

“Coming to Dinsmore and Cincinnati has been a welcomed change,” said Davis, who’s from New York. “I love the size of this city, and I am able to get involved. I’m building faster relationships with my colleagues and clients.”

According to LCLD, the Pathfinder Program offers participants “intensive in-person training, online experiential learning, and opportunities to network with peers and esteemed LCLD Fellows in small group gatherings.”

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization comprised of more than 320 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners. The Pathfinder Program targets junior lawyers in law firms and corporate legal department who have demonstrated potential to become future leaders.

Davis came to Dinsmore as a lateral attorney nearly four years ago. She’s an associate in the intellectual property group, and her work focuses on copyright and trademark law. Davis guides clients through trademark and copyright issues and enjoys working with large business clients as well as individuals and minority-owned business.

When she is not out exploring the city, Davis has found an unlikely exercise routine. She started figure skating about six years ago and was training for competitions before she moved to Cincinnati. She’s taken classes and lessons in the Cincinnati area and plans to continue her training.
