Acknowledging that now more than ever Maine communities need support to ensure public health and the safety of residents, Verrill, through the charitable fund it established at the Maine Community Foundation, has awarded a $5,000 leadership grant to the Greater Portland COVID-19 Community Fund.

The Greater Portland COVID-19 Community Fund is an emergency fund sponsored by the United Way of Greater Portland to support the region’s most vulnerable neighbors affected by the pandemic. “The current crisis has brought an array of challenges for all. It is crucial that we support each other, and especially our vulnerable neighbors,” explained K.C. Verrill established its charitable fund at the Maine Community Foundation in 1999 with the mission to support public health projects in the State of Maine.
