Bradley Partner Jay Wright Quoted in Reverse Mortgage Daily on Pressure from California Businesses to Delay CCPA in Wake of COVID-19

March, 2020 - United States of America

Bradley attorney Jay Wright was quoted in Reverse Mortgage Daily on the scope of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Businesses in California are urging the state attorney general to delay enforcement of the CCPA since the quickly-evolving situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic is putting additional pressure on businesses’ timetable to comply with the law’s new requirements on their operations.

Wright described the law, which is intended to give California consumers more say over how their personal data is collected and used by businesses, as the “broadest and most comprehensive privacy law in the United States to date.”
