Four Dykema Attorneys Honored as Crain’s Chicago 2020 “Notable Women in Law”

Dykema, a leading national law firm, is proud to announce that four of the firm’s Chicago-based attorneys, Elizabeth Darke, Cinthia Motley, Cynde Munzer and Diana Tsai, were recognized on the Crain’s Chicago Business special report, “Notable Women in Law.” The list was published in the September 7 print edition of Crain’s Chicago Business.

The editorial feature recognizes 124 women who have a track record of setting legal precedents, winning big cases for their clients and mentoring the next wave of women in law—all while finding ways to give back to their communities.

Liz Darke is an experienced transactional lawyer, concentrating her practice in real estate lending, leasing and acquisitions and dispositions. She represents institutional lenders nationwide in complex lending transactions, including construction loans, term loans and mezzanine financings. Darke also serves as the Chair of Dykema’s Professional Personnel Committee and has served as an active member of the firm’s Recruiting Committee for many years.

Cindy Motley is the Director of Dykema’s Global Data Privacy and Information Security practice group. She has an active national and international practice assisting clients in the implementation of effective information security practices, address current and emerging regulatory compliance issues, including cross-border data transfer and information governance, as well as litigation readiness and regulatory inquiry matters. Motely routinely acts as incident response counsel to national and multi-national entities, as well as privacy litigation counsel.

Cynde Munzer represents clients in business and transactional matters. Over the course of her legal career, she has served as a trusted advisor to many of the Chicago area’s major publicly-held corporations and financial institutions. In addition to her work with financial institutions, Munzer has a wealth of experience representing businesses in a broad range of matters, including asset and stock acquisitions and dispositions, mergers, joint development agreements, master services agreements, license agreements, real estate leases and other real estate matters, and many more.

Diana Tsai is Co-Leader of Dykema’s Corporate Finance Practice Group. She represents a wide range of institutional and non-institutional lenders and is experienced in structuring, documenting, negotiating and closing secured and unsecured loan transactions, including asset-based and cash-flow financing. Tsai has considerable experience in representing both banks in single-lender loan transactions as well as administrative agents and participating lenders in large multi-bank syndicated credit facilities. In addition, she handles various aspects of loan restructuring, workouts and liquidations.
