Szecskay Attorneys at Law Appoints New Partners

Gyorgy Wellmann and Bence Molnar Sz. to further drive the firms organic growth efforts.

Szecskay Attorneys at Law is pleased to announce that Gyorgy Wellmann, who will lead the Public Procurement Practice, and Bence Molnar Sz., who will continue to expand the firms corporate and digital form practice, have been promoted to the firms partnership effective 1 January, 2021.

Gyorgy Wellmann will head the provision of legal services to domestic and foreign clients in Public Procurement proceedings and in the enforcement of related claims. At the same time, he will continue to play a key role in the firms Dispute Resolution team. Szecskay Attorneys at Law already has extensive experience in the convergence of these two legal areas, often representing tenderers and bidders in public procurement dispute resolution proceedings. Gyorgy Wellmann will continue building the firms leading position in this niche area.

Bence Molnar Sz. will lead the firms Legal Technology and Digital Commercial Form activities in order to further drive digitalization in the firms commercial contracting practice. Among others, he already cooperates with professional associations in articulating the expectations of the business community for legislative purposes to easy digital identification and digital contracting in Hungary.

Besides his corporate responsibilities, he will continue to coordinate the merger cases in strong support of the firm’s Competition Law practice group, as well as playing a key role in the M&A team. Additionally, he has a lead role in developing the firm’s Private Client practice in landmark inheritance and trust cases.
