Carrefour Sale in Portugal - PLMJ represents Carrefour

The contract of one of Portugal’s major M&A operations of the year, the sale by the Carrefour Group of its participation in Carrefour Portugal to Sonae, was signed last Thursday 26th of July, for the amount of the enterprise value of 662 millions of Euros.
PLMJ – A. M. Pereira, Sáragga Leal,Oliveira Martins, Júdice and Associados, has been representing Carrefour in this transaction with a team of 20 Lawyers led by the Partner Martim Morgado (one of the Firm’s youngest and most promising Partners) a member of one of PLMJ Corporate, Commercial and M&A Departments - headed by Equity Partner Vitor Réfega Fernandes.
The closing of the operation awaits, naturally, prior authorization by the Portuguese Competition Authority to whom Sonae Distribuição SGPS, S.A. engaged herself to present request within the legal deadline.
