Kudun and Partners Sets up a Relief Fund to Help COVID19 Affected Communities

August, 2021 - Bangkok, Thailand

The current Covid-19 scenario has a wide-ranging impact, particularly on the locked-down business sectors. Aid and remedies are limited, and not all communities have access to them.

Realizing the predicaments of these communities, our team in Kudun and Partners took the initiative in establishing a relief fund. All members of the firm contributed to the fund and the fund was used to purchase food products such as rice, canned food, drinking water and medicine, as well as other necessities including hygiene masks, soap, alcohol spray and gel, and sanitary napkins for two groups of workers who are no longer capable of supporting themselves due to the prolonged lockdown.

Group 1:  A group of 237 camp workers on Charoenkrung 28 Road who, among other essential requirements, lacked medicines, drinking water, dry food, and milk cartons for the children.

Group 2: A group of approximately 45 traditional massage therapists, the majority in their 40s and 50s,  who have lost their employment and whose employers are unable to help them any further.

This CSR project was led by our firm’s project champions; Nantana Atibodhi and Thanchanok Srithaneadchai, who took the efforts to inquire about the affected communities’ livelihood, finding out their needs and delivering the necessary aids to them.
