Large downtown Portland employers rethink return-to-office plans as COVID-19 cases surge


PORTLAND, Ore. – Aug. 19, 2021 – Today, Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt P.C. announced that 37 of the firm’s attorneys have been named to the 2022 Best Lawyers in America list, and 14 have been designated as 2022 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.

For more than 30 years, Best Lawyers has utilized a peer review process to identify top attorneys for its guide. In addition to the 51 attorneys identified for the 2022 lists, six Schwabe attorneys were designated as a “Lawyer of the Year.” These awards go to a single lawyer in a particular practice area in each market covered by the guide.

Elizabeth A. Schleuning was named as Portland’s “Lawyer of the Year” for Employment Law – Management. Elizabeth E. Howard was named as Portland’s “Lawyer of the Year” for Water Law. James T. Waldron was named as Portland’s “Lawyer of the Year” for Litigation – Environmental. Kelly T. Hagan was named as Portland’s “Lawyer of the Year” for Health Care Law. Mark A. Long was named as Portland’s “Lawyer of the Year” for Corporate Law. Howard S. Trickey was named as Anchorage’s “Lawyer of the Year” for Labor Law – Management.
