Melanie Fry Selected to the 2022 San Antonio Business Journal 40 Under 40 List

Dykema, a leading national law firm, is proud to announce that Melanie Fry was selected as one of San Antonio Business Journal’s 2022 40 Under 40 honorees. She will be honored at a rock-and-roll-themed event on March 23, 2022.
According to the San Antonio Business Journal, the list recognizes professionals under 40 who have demonstrated excellence in business, leadership, and community involvement across all industries.
Fry leads Dykema’s appellate practice in San Antonio and is Assistant Practice Group Leader of the firm’s commercial litigation group. She has briefed and won cases from Texas trial courts to the United States Supreme Court. Her experience includes high-stakes matters: contract and business tort claims, personal injury and product defects, consumer financial services disputes, and oil and gas law. In the last year alone, Fry obtained several notable victories as lead counsel.
Fry is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, where only one-third of 1 percent of Texas attorneys are invited to become Fellows annually. She has active community involvement with the Federal Bar Association – San Antonio Chapter, the San Antonio Bar Association – Federal Courts Committee, Bexar County Women’s Bar Association and Foundation, the Admissions Committee for the Western District of Texas – San Antonio Division, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce “Leadership San Antonio,” Texas Supreme Court Historical Society, and various other volunteer commitments.
Fry earned a J.D., cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law, and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Abilene Christian University.
