Holiday Group enters German market via acquisition of Metatravel Service GmbH

A Heuking team led by Dr. Henrik Lay and Christoph Prochnau legally advised the shareholders of Metatravel Service GmbH on the acquisition by Denmark-based Holiday Group by which the rental portal specialist, held by Danish PE fund Capidea, assumes the German provider’s business operations and rental websites.
Metatravel Service GmbH operates three rental portals, including Ostsee24.de, which focuses on vacation rentals along the German coasts. The portals will continue to be developed and expanded by the existing team and Holiday Group resources.
As the largest portal for vacation rentals in Denmark, Holiday Group already operates more than 20 rental websites. It intends to use the acquisition of Metatravel Service GmbH to increase its presence on the German market in the future.
