Bradley Awards 2023 Diversity Scholarship to University of Mississippi Law Student

September, 2022 - Birmingham, Alabama

Bradley is pleased to announce that the firm has awarded its 2023 2L Diversity Scholarship to Joe Curry from the University of Mississippi School of Law.

Bradley’s diversity scholarship is awarded to law students who reflect and promote diversity in the legal profession and who are traditionally underrepresented in the legal marketplace. Each scholarship includes a summer clerkship with the firm.

“Joe is an outstanding law student and individual, and we look forward to his contributions when we welcome him back to Bradley next summer,” said Bradley’s Director of Inclusion and Diversity George Medlock.

Mr. Curry will return to the firm’s Birmingham office as a summer associate in the summer of 2023. He is a second-year law student at the University Mississippi School of Law and is currently in the top 10% of his class, serving on the Trial Advocacy Board and as a Student Bar Association Senator. Mr. Curry graduated from the University of Mississippi with an accounting degree and was inducted into the UM Hall of Fame, honoring students who excel in academics, community service, and have potential for future success. Prior to attending law school, he worked for four years at a global accounting firm.

Bradley is committed to supporting a variety of pipeline diversity initiatives directed at recruiting diverse lawyers. The firm engages in significant efforts to promote a diverse and inclusive workforce and culture, including hosting a summer intern program for minority college students, offering diversity scholarships to both 1L and 2L students, and regularly organizing, hosting and participating in programs, seminars and panels aimed at increasing the participation of women and minorities in the legal profession.
