Lean Construction Institute Honors Hanson Bridgett Partners with Pioneer Award

October, 2022 - San Francisco, California

October 24, 2022 (San Francisco, CA) – Hanson Bridgett LLP is proud to announce that the Lean Construction Institute (LCI) has recognized partners Howard Ashcraft and Lisa Dal Gallo with the Pioneer Award. The Pioneer Award recognizes individuals who have moved the LCI forward in embracing and implementing Lean tools and techniques.

Ashcraft and Dal Gallo have helped transform the design and construction industry by informing/coaching/guiding owners, designers and builders in the specifics around adopting Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), and through the development of contracts and negotiation of legal terms and conditions that support LPDS and IPD. Together they have structured over 140 IPD projects both nationally and internationally, and also incorporated LPDS into design build projects for many public works projects. Through their work, they have assisted in the development of the theoretical and practical underpinning for Integrated Project Delivery, along with other members of the American Institute of Architects California interdisciplinary taskforce, and ConsensusDocs interdisciplinary taskforce.

"LCI is a change leader that has guided and improved the design and construction industry. I am honored to have participated and contributed my small part to an industry that I have been involved in for over 35 years, and for which I am passionate. I am truly honored to be a recipient of the prestigious Pioneer Award," said Dal Gallo. Ashcraft remarked, “Efficiently delivering quality infrastructure is critical to a healthy, equitable society. LCI is meeting this challenge and we are honored to be amongst the Pioneers who have made a difference.”

Both were recognized during an award ceremony at the 24th annual LCI Congress in New Orleans, LA on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
