PLMJ Wins Prize “2009 Best Business Law Firm in South Europe”

The ACQ Finance Magazine designates PLMJ as the” Best Business Law Firm in the South of Europe for its performance and for its role when assisting various major operations closed in South of Europe during the course of 2008.
The Prize constitutes a public recognition of the quality, technical specialization, innovation and Client dedicated posture of PLMJ Lawyers, especially in what the areas of Corporate and M&A are concerned.
PLMJ‘s Corporate Practice coordinated by Equity Partner Pedro Sáragga Leal is composed by more than 60 Lawyers and includes a permanent working team of 20 Lawyers entirely dedicated to the M&A Practice which is headed by PLMJ Equity Partner Fernando Campos Ferreira.
This M&A team was involved in the main operations which took place in Portugal in 2008 such as the acquisition of Mobicom by Microsoft , the acquisition by Cimpor of Cemex’s various Canaries based cement assets, including relevant participations in CEISA e INPROCÓI, and the sale by Babcock &Brown to Magnum Capital of a set of eolic assets integrated in the formerly denominated Enersis Group (considered the year’s major M&A operation in Portugal).
